The Magazine «ELECTRIC POWER. Transmission and Distribution» Will Be Delivered to Readers by Electric Cars

To attract attention of the specialists of power grid companies to issues related to the electric vehicle market and construction of charging infrastructure for the electric transport, with the support of Russian Grids JSC the magazine “ELECTRIC POWER. Transmission and Distribution” will be delivered to its readers in Moscow and the Moscow region by the electric car Mitsubishi i-MiEV provided by the company «ММS Rus», the official Mitsubishi distributor in Russia.

The charging station installed by Ensto company in the territory of the editorial office will provide battery recharging of the electric car at night.

The coming issue of the magazine «ELECTRIC POWER. Transmission and Distribution» (№ 2 (23), March-April, 2014) will be delivered to the Russian Ministry of Energy, the State Duma, the Council of Federation, the headquarters of Russian Grids JSC, MOESK JSC, IDGC of Center JSC, offices of FGC UES JSC, Rosneft JSC, field-specific higher establishments and companies by the electric car.

«For the first time Mitsubishi i-MiEV was acting as the postman in 2009 in Monaco. Today several European companies highly appreciate advantages of such electric “postman” – its noiselessness, maneuverability and compact design are vital for the streets of European cities. We are glad that Moscow and other Russian cities are using Mitsubishi i-MiEV cars as an innovative courier», – said Andrey Pankov, CEO of «ММS RUS».

Note that in Russia the electric vehicle market started to develop in October, 2011, when sales of the first in the world certified Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric car was launched. It inspired an innovative pilot project on development of charging infrastructure in Moscow and the Moscow region. Russian Grids JSC has started to implement the All-Russian program on development of charging infrastructure for electric transport in Russia.
Together with reduced carbon dioxide, sulphur and heavy metal emissions the electric vehicles ensure the optimized load of the grid in peak load time by taking off the energy at night hours and returning it back into the grid in daytime.
